The Walking Art workshops engage people over 55 and are funded by the Cripplegate Foundation and Islington Giving. We aim to take our pencil, our eyes and our mind for a walk challenging our perceptions and preconceptions through art games.
The workshops run weekly on Wednesday morning 10 am - 12.30 pm at Hilldrop Community Centre – everyone is welcome!
We are also funded to deliver the workshops in other community centres across Islington; do get in contact if you are interested in hosting a Walking Art Workshop, we would love to come along!
We have already delivered the workshop to over 100 people at centres across Islington including the Islington Ecology Centre, Hillside Clubhouse and Caledonian Park, Whittington Park, the Elfrida Society, Mildmay Supported Living with Centre 404, The Cecelia Café, Alzheimer’s Society, The Finsbury Park Trust, Vibast, St George’s Church, St Mungo’s, Cutbush Assisted Living, Nature Neighbourhoods and Octopus Communities, Elizabeth House and the Islington Chinese Association.
The wonderful artwork from the workshops has been exhibited at Hilldrop Community Art Exhibition in August-September 2024.
